Making of Research-Oriented Konkuk

The hopes and dreams of humanity for the 21st century come to fruition at Konkuk University. Establishing a cooperative network of educators, researchers and industry leaders in over a thousand institutions and corporations both at home and abroad, Konkuk University has attracted attention from around the world for the important advances it is making in the research fields of biomedical science, medical engineering, information technology, nanotechnology, economics, arts and humanities. Konkuk University is concentrating its resources on specialized research centers: the Biomedical Science Research Center, the Center for Next-Generation Innovative Technology, the Institute for Ubiquitous information Technology and Applications(UbITA)), and the Institute of Real Estate & Urban Studies. These research centers will be able to come up with major innovations in their respective areas, which the University endeavors to accomplish as it is advancing toward a new leader of the research community.
