Department of Internet & Multimedia Engineering

The Department of Internet and Multimedia Engineering at Konkuk University (KU) was founded in 2001 for the purpose of educating internet and multimedia engineers with the knowledge required to lead the information society of the 21st century. Our department offers theoretical courses as well as experimental courses in order to foster students specialized in the areas of internet and multimedia engineering.

The internet major covers technology-related fields such as computer networks, information security, information searching, distributed computing, and internet applications. The multimedia major covers areas related to technology such as multimedia processing, communication, digital broadcasting, embedded multimedia, computer vision, human-computer interaction, computer game/animation, and virtual reality.

The Department of Internet and Multimedia Engineering at KU aims to turn the notion of a smart and ubiquitous world into a reality in the near future.
