A Total of 984 KU Students Studied Abroad in 2015

KU’s Office of International Programs hosted an information session on exchange programs and short-term study abroad programs on November 24, 2015. Approximately 300 students were in attendance of the session, which took place at the Industry-University Building. After presentations were given on the different programs available, students had the opportunity to listen directly from those who studied abroad at the University of Queensland in Australia, Sapporo Gakuin University in Japan, Science Po Grenoble in France, and University of North Dakota in the United States.

As of November 2015, KU has entered into agreements with 471 institutions in 59 countries. Through the agreements, an increasing number of dual degree programs, exchange programs, language courses, and short-term programs are becoming available to students each year. In 2015, a total of 984 KU students are estimated to have taken advantage of such programs. Meanwhile, KU organized the first International Winter Program during December 19-31, 2015. The program is based on the annual International Summer Program, through which foreign students study Korean language, history, and culture at KU and participate in cultural events and field trips.
